Palisade Glacier, California. 2024.

In September 2024, Oliver Rye, Madison Sankovitz, Parker Lewis, Caroline Hackett, and Caroline Landau hiked up to Palisade Glacier located in the Eastern Sierra, California. They were able to hike 5,000 ft in elevation to 12,500 ft to the glacier with enough mold making equipment to make impressions of the ice. They made 3 wax negative molds of the pieces of ice from the glacier. The Palisade Glacier is the southernmost glacier in North America, and one that is seeing the direct effects of climate change.
